It seems there is always a new diet trend taking the world by storm. With so many diets claiming to be the best it can be hard to know what to choose. When selecting food, low carb choices may not be the best thing for your body. The key is not to eliminate carbs, but to choose the right kind and eat them at the right time.

The human body needs a balanced diet that includes protein, carbohydrates and fat. Cutting carbs can lead to unhealthy results. By regulating the types of carbs you are consuming and knowing when to consume them, you give your body the fuel it needs without depriving yourself. There are different types of fats, and your goal should be to consume the proper amount of the 'good' fats while steering clear of the 'bad' fats. Good fats include monounsaturated fat and essential fatty acids, while bad fats include saturated fat and the worst of all, trans fat. Rich sources of good fats include olive oil, nuts and wild salmon.

If your goal is to drop those unhealthy, unsightly extra pounds in a healthy and effective way you need a detailed diet plan that shows you step by step how, what and when to eat.
